Dear AV Parent/Guardian:

This letter is to inform you that we received word that two individuals at the AV Middle School (8th grade), an individual at the AV High School (11th grade), and an individual at the Elementary School (ECSE) have tested positive for COVID-19. All students who were in the classroom with the individuals have been contacted by the school.  All individuals who have been deemed close contacts by the Iron County Health Department will be contacted by them.

If your child is identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 case, the Iron County Health Department has informed us that they will contact you with next steps. Close contact is defined as being within six feet of a person for 15 minutes or more. Arcadia Valley R-II will follow the guidelines put in place by the Health Department in regards to your child attending school in person. If the Health Department identifies your child as a close contact and advises your child to quarantine, the school will offer to continue distanced instruction for your child. If this becomes necessary, please contact your child’s building administrator for additional information regarding this instruction.

This letter is to inform you that we today received word that individuals at the AV Elementary School (4th grade) and the High School (10th grade) have tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals were last on campus on Tuesday, October 20th.  All students who were in the classroom with the individual have been contacted.  All individuals who have been deemed close contacts by the Iron County Health Department will be contacted by them.

If your child is identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 case, the Iron County Health Department has informed us that they will contact you with next steps. We are coordinating our efforts with the Iron County Health Department to promptly identify and monitor individuals who have had recent close contact with the COVID-19 positive individual to prevent further spread. If your child was in class or on the bus with the individual, you will be contacted by the school. If you do not hear anything today from the school, then your child was not in the same classroom or on the bus with the student.
